Secession for Teysha?

Howdy Folks

Here is a few interesting and enlightening facts that came about on this day September 4 in history:

In 1862, This is the day that General Robert E. Lee’s forces invaded Maryland, which was the start of the Antietam campaign!

In 1886, The great Apache leader, Geronimo, laid down his arms, and surrendered to General Nelson A. Miles at Skeleton Canyon, Arizona.

In 1950, Everyone’s favorite dogface soldier was brought to life in the famous and long running cartoon Beetle Bailey. Happy Birthday Beetle!

In 1918, The gentleman who became famous as a comprehensive journalist was born and eventually made these words part of his news shtick. “And now for the rest of the story!“ I give you Mr. Paul Harvey.
Happy Birthday Paul, We miss your complete news take on this wacky world.

“NOW FOR THE REST OF THE STORY”

The issue of Texas seceding from the Union seems pretty radical in this day and age of so called “Peace and Understanding” but if the movement were to grow big enough, I reckon it could happen. I personally do not believe that is will ever happen, because you can’t get enough folks to agree on minor issues in the world, let alone the revival of a rogue state pulling away from the Union.
Just what would the U.S. government response be to such and event?

Could it mean possible military action against the rogue state?

Would the entire state be considered a terrorist entity in the eyes of the government?

I know this sounds far fetched but remember that folks back during the “War of the Brothers” the belief was that the insurrection would only last a short while and certainly not that the country would split and that as result some 625,000 fellow Americans would be killed or die from the discord.

“War is an instrument entirely inefficient toward redressing wrong; and multiplies, instead of indemnifying losses.”
Thomas Jefferson

Folks, Let your thoughts be known on these matters.

Have a Great Labor Day Weekend!
