Hello Friends This is An Update

Hello folks!

I am happy to announce that I will be once more posting to civilwarblogger.com. I hope to give daily updates to the blog and will be adding some running posts that will include civil war tales and stories such as the site had in the past. I may also be adding some insights from myself into various issues that are relevant to the world at large and will just be opinion pieces that you all can add your own two cents worth too as well!

I will eventually be adding a photo segment to the site, which will feature images from the Gettysburg Battlefield on a regular basis within the next month. I have added my own header to the site which was an issue I had with the hosting folks but I would now like to get some feedback from all of you as to whether you like the header or not. I will also be adding input on various events that are happening in the reenacting world, this will not be limited to just Civil War events but will include Revolutionary War and may eventually include updated input from various readers who wish to get their event information out into the dirt roads of history along the Internet world.

Here is some input on what happened this week during the American Civil War;

On September 3, 1861 Confederate General Leonidas Polk invaded Columbus in the neutral state of Kentucky, that prompted the state legislature to ask for Union support. Then on
September 6 in response to the Rebel invasion military forces under Union General Ulysses S. Grant captured Paducah, Kentucky, which gave the Union control the mouth of the Tennessee River.

Please Stay tuned to civilwarblogger.com for updates and Thanks to ya'll for visiting!
