The absolutely wonderful spectacle at Antietam is possible because of the dedication of some 1400 volunteers who set up those 23,110 luminary bags. The event runs from 6 p.m. till 12 midnight so it is clean up time after the last auto leaves the battlefield. I have no idea how long it takes to set up nor tear down the memorial but my hat is off to everyone who painstakingly helps with the event.
